Tools for Citizens

The Oregon Chapter of the American Planning Association encourages adjoining landowners and interested parties to get involved with land use actions in their neighborhood.  Participation can take many forms from testifying to volunteering to be a member of your communities Planning Commission or other land use advisory group.  A good place to start learning about land use decisions is your local Planning Department or the Department of Land Conservation and Development.  A link to the Department of Land Conservation and Development's website page concerned with Citizen Involvement is provided below.
