Work Description

The City of Bend is actively recruiting for one (1) Sustainability Coordinator to work in the City Manager’s Office.

This position is a full-time, non-represented, limited-term appointment for up to two years and is eligible for overtime. This position will be working with the Bend community to develop a plan to increase energy efficiency and reduce fossil fuel consumption. It is anticipated that this position will be funded through the December 2019 for completion and adoption of the plan. Depending upon continued funding, project progress, and employee performance, this position may be extended to oversee implementation.


Minimum Education, Experience, Certifications and Licenses Required:

Bachelor’s degree in natural or environmental science or studies, sustainability studies, communications or public policy, economics or business management, or related field and five years of increasing experience with climate and energy policy, program and/or project development, or any equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field which would provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities as outlined in this job description.
