Census Data for Community Research and Grant Writing Workshop

Linda Clark, Special Census Supervisor, U.S. Census Bureau, will provide attendees with an overview of the Census website and other associated data sources, using exercises to show people how to access data that can be used in studies, grants, etc. 

Attendees are free to bring their own laptops (our office has WiFi), but those who choose not to will be able to follow Linda's presentation on our large screen.

Linda Clark Bio

Linda began her census career in the 1970s as a Special Census Supervisor, supervising data collection operations for more than two dozen cities and counties in California under the direction of the State Department of Finance.  In 1980 and 1990, Linda worked on the Decennial Census as a Regional Technician for several Southern California offices and in 2000 she served as the Area Manager for seven offices in the San Francisco Bay Area.  After four years as a Team Leader in the Recruiting Branch at Census Bureau Headquarters in Washington, D.C., Linda returned to the Seattle region as an Information Services Specialist, the position she holds today.  Linda has conducted more than 200 data workshops in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Northern California.
